答案
Should All College Courses Be Specifically Related to a Future Occupation? Recently there has been a heated discussion in a newspaper as to whether all college courses should be specifically related to a future occupation. As this is a controversial issue, opinions vary from person to person. Some college students are of the opinion that all the college courses should be closely associated with their future occupation because the professional knowledge they have acquired will directly be used in the work after their graduation. On the contrary, some other college students take quite a different attitude to this question. In their views, not all college courses should be specifically related to their future occupation. Some professional courses should be so because they would not be a layman ff they had the chance of using their specialties after their graduation. It is unnecessary for optional courses to be related to their future career. Maybe such courses won’t apply to their future jobs. In my opinion, even if none of your college courses are related to your future profession, it doesn’t matter. What really counts is to master some basic knowledge and operate some skills proficiently when they are at college. A college graduate from Peking University has no chance t6 use his professional knowledge. But he can still make a living by selling pork in the street. In fact, this example indicates that it is difficult for all college courses to be specifically related to a future occupation.
