The seasonal difference is not great. The average temperature is 20℃ and the annual rainfall is 1, 320mm. In 1991, the population of New Zealand is 3, 587, 275 and the density is 13 per sq. km. The New Zealanders use English and Maori as their languages, because one in eleven New Zea landers are at least half Maori. New Zealanders are tough, but less lively and less carefree. They live comfortably and have one of the best welfare systems in the world. Now the New Zealanders, especially the younger ones, have a great pride in their own country.
