答案 Advertisements are appearing everywhere and every moment in our daily life, including on TV. As illustrated in the picture, a family seated around a TV set feel both frustrated and distracted when interrupted by endless advertisements inserted in between the programs. The father looks poker-faced, the mother looks a bit annoyed, and the kid sits impatiently on the floor. Ironically enough, the advertisements even claim themselves to be really fascinating. There may have to be many advertisements, as some people argue, for advertising provides a major part of the income to keep the TV (including other media) going, and thus letting the public watch the programs at a lower rate. Also, one has to admit that most of the advertisements are designed and shot in a pleasant, even fascinating way. At the same time, they do bring a lot of useful information to the consumers in a most convenient way. However, it can’t be denied that too many advertisements are being imposed on the audience, as many others insist, and that they are repeatedly, sometimes endlessly, inserted between those wonderful programs. It’s a dilemma and no one can put forward a perfect way to solve it. In my eyes, all that one can do is to turn off the TV when he feels really annoyed or upset by the advertisements, or he may just have to live with it.
