答案
Live with an Aim "Living without an aim is like sailing without a compass." This philosophical wisdom by John Ruskin, one of the greatest British writers, informs us that living with an aim is extremely important. For one thing, an aim provides us with direction. When we have an aim, we are taking control of our life. We know what we want, so we can focus our minds on the target. On the contrary, without a goal, we may live a passive life. Our life will become dull and meaningless just like the dead water in a muddy lake. For another, an aim can keep us motivated when we feel like giving up. No matter what we do, chances are that we may run into a stone wall. Then we feel bored and may even want to draw back. But when we think about our aims, we are likely to regain the passion, pull down the "wall" and move on. Judging from the evidence offered, we may safely draw the conclusion that setting a goal is the first step towards success. Therefore, in order to live a meaningful life, everyone should make ceaseless efforts under the guide of an aim. Only in this way will life blossom and yield more fruits.
