On Discrimination Against AIDS Patients
选项
答案
On Discrimination Against AIDS Patients The human race has entered a completely new stage in history. Along with the challenge of AIDS virus, discrimination against AIDS patients becomes a widespread concern in present China. Many reasons can account for this phenomenon. For one thing, the characteristics of HIV transmission route make people accustomed to connecting AIDS patients with unhealthy lifestyles. For another, due to some misleading information on certain media reports, people connect AIDS with bad personality traits. What’s worse, some medical institutes also show discrimination or indifference to HIV carriers. Such discrimination is the biggest obstacle to control and prevent AIDS virus. Effective measures must be adopted before things get worse. First and foremost, the public should enrich their knowledge of AIDS virus and establish a correct and scientific concept, which can help them prevent AIDS infection. Moreover, it is essential that the authorities should work out and implement relevant laws and regulations of anti-discrimination to put an end to this trend. It is high time that the public and government fought against discrimination towards AIDS patients.
