问题    Leopards are often considered the most dangerous of all the big cats. They weigh about 45 to 80 kilograms, and some are more than 2 meters long. Although they are smaller than lions and tigers, they are fierce fighters.
Leopards usually have yellowish brown coats covered with large and small black spots. Some leopards, known as panthers, appear to be entirely black. But their spots are simply hard to see against the rest of their fur, which contains much dark pigment. A litter (from one to four young) may include both normally spotted and dark leopards.
Leopards spend much of their time in trees. From the branches: on which they lie hidden, leopards leap on the animals that pass underneath. They may eat the animal on the spot, or they may store part of the meat in a tree and eat it later. Leopards eat a variety of animals — among them cattle, sheep, monkeys, antelope, dogs, and birds.
Leopards live to be some 20 years old. They are more common than lions or tigers and are found in a greater variety of places. They live in parts of Asia and in most of Africa. A few may still roam the Caucasus, east of the black Sea in Europe.
