答案 In the picture, two large hands are tearing apart a group photo. On the left marked by "arts class" are mostly female students, while the "science class" on the right mainly consists of male students. This picture seems to deplore the practice of dividing students into two groups, namely arts and science, in senior high school in China, raising the question of whether this division is justified. As far as I am concerned, the division is necessary before we find a better choice. First, the division reduces students’ study load. Unlike studying nine subjects in the non-division scenario, students only need to focus on six subjects in the division scenario, which offers a reduction of one third of study load. Second, the division enables students to fix their attention on the subjects they are interested and excellent in. In conclusion, the division may prevent our students from being a jack-of-all-trades, and it may seem awkward to see only a few boy students in an arts class or a few girl students in a science class, but it is indeed the best compromise we can make now.
