To account for this phenomenon, people have come up with various reasons. To begin with, with the rapid development of society, more and more people can afford a private car, which gives rise to more traffic jams and accidents. In addition, an increasing number of drivers do not lay enough emphasis on relevant traffic rules. We have heard too many news reports about the traffic tragedies resulting from the carelessness or drunkenness of the drivers. Serious as the problem seems, we can take some measures to deal with it. Drivers should improve their sense of abiding by traffic rules and the government should put limitation on the increase of private cars. Only through joint efforts can traffic accidents be strangled in the cradle.
