On After-school Tutorials In the picture, a mother and her son are eagerly searching for a tutor from dozens of posters hung on the walls in their neighborhood. The stack of money in the mother’s hand indicates their financial condition and it seems that she doesn’t care how much it will cost as long as it improves her son’s study. What illustrates in the picture does reflect the reality that most of school children nowadays have no less than one after-school courses. However, in my opinion, there is no need for every child to have after-school tutors. First and foremost, parents should be fully aware of their kid’s learning problems. It is only when the child is slow to digest what has been taught in class that he needs some help after school. Besides, parents should also take into account their child’s feelings about after-school tutorials. After all, teaching is effective only if the child enjoys the learning. In conclusion, before looking for after-school tutors, parents should learn well about their children as well as the children’s studies. A blind search for tutors sometimes only turns out to be a blunder.
