Starting Career in a Big City or Small Town?
选项
答案
Starting Career in a Big City or Small Town? Want to be a small fish in a big pond or the other way round? Every graduate faces this question when leaving school and starting their careers. Some prefer to stay in the big cities after graduation, since life in big cities means more experiences, more opportunities and bigger space for career development. At the same time, higher salary is another temptation for the new grads. However, some other graduates want to start their careers in small towns. There, they can have a life that is easier, quieter and less competitive compared with that in big cities. Besides, it’s more likely that they can be a big fish in a small pond and win promotion earlier than their city counterparts. As far as I am concerned, I would like to start in a big city like Beijing. My major is Computer Science. There are few related jobs offered in small towns, but it is the opposite in Beijing where many big companies need computer specialists. I’m sure I can realize my dream as a program specialist here.
