答案
In the last two decades of the 20th century, enormous changes took place in China, which were reflected in the changes on people’s dining tables. As shown in the pictures, in 1980s, most families in the rural areas of China had mainly corn, flour, and vegetables as their food while urban families preferred to have refined flour, rice and meat as their main food. However, in the year of 2000, it was found that country people were eating the refined flour, rice and meat while city residents shifted to what the country people used to eat. The reasons behind all this are just obvious. Owing to the economic growth in the rural areas, country people can now afford to eat better than ever he{ore. In the meantime, the enhancement of health consciousness has resulted in a more scientific and balanced meal. People are choosing to increase their daily intake of vegetables, fruits and grains, limiting the consumption of animal protein. It will be only natural that, with the improvement of our national economy and further development of medical and nutritional sciences, people in China will eat in a more healthy way in the future.
