答案 Goals Everyone has his/her goals in life, especially for the young school boys and girls. As can be seen from the picture, two boys are both crying. What are they crying for? With the help of the Chinese description we know that one of them is so sad about his 99 scores in the examination that he can not help crying, while the other is so excited at his 60 scores that he is bursting into tears, too. This picture shows people’s different attitudes towards setting their goals. Some people aim high, always trying to do everything perfectly; others have no big ambition and can be easily satisfied, as shown in the case of the two school boys. In my opinion, neither of the boys is a good example for us to follow. Indeed, school scores are important to students, but they should not be overemphasized. Good marks and high scores, after all, are just one aspect of school education. The goal for the students is not only good school performance, but also all-round development. In this sense, acquiring knowledge is much more important than gaining scores.
