From the 1980s to the 2000s, the desertification area increases from 560 square kilometers to 980 square kilometers. Moreover, the frequency of sandstorms in 2000s reaches twice as many as that in 1980s. Apart from some natural reasons, the phenomenon is mainly caused by our human. We cut off trees, overgraze and seldom plant trees after we cut them down. Since we have only one earth, we must take measures to stop this trend. Firstly, we should not cut trees to make room for building houses. Secondly, we need to plant shelter trees to improve the quality of soil. Finally, we should make sure that everyone has the awareness of protecting the environment. If everyone makes a contribution, I believe the world will become much more beautiful.
