近年来,一些人认为应给予有创造性的艺术家们自由,让他们能够以自己希望的任何方式(文字、图画、音乐或者电影)表达想法,而政府不应该对此进行限制。你是否同意这个观点?
选项
答案
Artists are full of emotional feelings and creative ideas. That is why they always surprise us with artistic expressions. Because of this, I think artists should be given the freedom to create and to perform. Once restricted, the artistic talents will be restrained, which leads to banal works to cater for the taste of the mainstream culture. As we know, artists usually channel their strong emotions and opinions into their works. For instance, the angry feelings could be represented by the odd shapes, sharp colors, and busy layout of a painting, challenging our eyes. If we impose restrictions on artists, their imagination wings will be clipped and their desire to express feelings will be quenched. We would have no chance to be awed by the adventurous colors, amazed by the shocking notes or moved by the affecting film. No one is able to give his talent a full play, if he is in shackles. In conclusion, we should allow artists the luxury of freedom, because it will fuel the creative engine within their minds and hearts.
