答案 This picture presents us with a scene, in which a watering pot symbolizing education is watering the large potted plant, while the much-smaller potted plant does not get much water, feeling grieved and wondering when the education equality would be truly put into effect. It goes without saying that the picture does reflect the everlasting issue of education inequality. Premier Wen Jiabao once said that income inequality would impact a person for a while, while the unfair education will influence the person’s whole life. Thus it can be seen that education equality is pretty vital to one’s development. However, the reality at present tells us numerous education inequities still exist in our country. Firstly, education opportunities in urban and rural areas are unequal and unfair. The enrolment rate in rural area (including rate of registering for examination) is far below that of urban region. Additionally, the education resources allocation is imbalanced. There is a prominent difference between urban and rural areas in school conditions and teaching staff. Education is a right, not a privilege. All people should be treated equally, regardless of differences in region and socioeconomic background. Consequendy, the government should make all efforts to eliminate the inequities in education.
