答案
When it comes to the test of spoken English, different people have different ideas. Some people think that students should have such a test. However, others oppose test of spoken English. The people who hold the previous opinion believe that such a test can make college students aware of the importance of spoken English. In addition, the certificate of the test will make job-hunting much easier. Therefore, a test of spoken English is necessary. However, others advocate the opposite opinion because they believe that a test of spoken English is very difficult to handle and the test time is not long enough to fully display participants’ speaking ability in English. Besides, they argue that if a candidate is assigned to a topic which he or she is not familiar with, it is hard to show his or her command of spoken English. So, a test of spoken English should not be held. Considering these two arguments, I agree with the first opinion. For one thing, such a test can make college students pay emphasis on spoken English. For another, a certificate of such a test will make job-hunting easier. In conclusion, a test of spoken English is of necessity.
