It is clear that the histograms indicate the gender and age distribution of audience watching the TV series of In the Name of People, which successfully arouses our curiosity. According to the first histogram, the male audience greatly outnumbers the female one. In addition, we can learn that the proportion of people between the age of 30 and 39 accounts for the largest one among all ages from the second histogram. As far as I’m concerned, two factors can result in the above phenomenon. Firstly, though TV series may be more popular among female audience, anti-corruption subject attracts more male audience than the female one. Secondly, anti-corruption is related to politics and power, middle-aged people is most likely to watch it. Because the experience of the characters in the TV series and the experience of the middle-aged people have many similarities. And the plot of this TV series resonates with them. For TV series, there are many aspects which can determine its popularity. As you can see from above, subject and empathy are of great importance.
