答案 A broad difference exists in values and attitudes between the old generation and the young one. Parents don’t agree with what their kids think of and behave, whereas children often complain about the misunderstanding of their parents. As to the causes of the generation gap, a couple of things are worth consideration. First of all, the environment in which the young generation now lives in is quite different from the one in which their parents grew up. Their values of world and life may vary due to the different political, economical and cultural contexts that the old and the young are exposed to. Second, people of different ages always tend to consider their interest right and valuable, their opinion sound and correct. Accordingly, their attitudes towards the society, the family, and other things are likely to be at odds. Third, parents often have a great expectation for their children. This gives the children much pressure and even triggers disobedience. No doubt, the generation gap will continue to be a part of our life since it is rooted in tile changes of our society. We do not dream of eliminating the gap. However, we do hope that we call bridge the gap. In my opinion, parents need to keep in touch with each other and the family members should do things or activities together and value the cooperation between them In addition, both parents and children need to have regular exchange of ideas so that they will have better mutual understanding. In brief, care, love, understanding, and effective communications will together constitute the way to bridge the generation gap.
