答案 As the cartoon depicts, love, like a lamp, shines brith-test in the darkest place, making a world of difference. Showing love for those immersed in wealth and love may go unnoticed, while turning our love to a person in urgent need of help will get him off the hook. This, I think, is the symbolic meaning of the cartoon. The implication of the cartoon can be well exemplified by the following example. Helen Keller, though born normal, was rendered deaf and blind by a disease when young. For a period of time, she was ill-tempered. That was when a loving teacher Sullivan came into her life. Sullivan worked wonders for Helen by explaining everything in the language only she and Helen used—a language of touch, a touch of fingers and hands. Sullivan’s love and patience took Helen to the top of her profession, making her a productive writer. Life, full of unknown adversities, may give us a heavy blow at some point. The best practice to show love is to spare no effort to help those in need, familiar or unfamiliar, escape from their predicaments by furnishing them with practical and effective means. Once love given to those in need is woven into their hearts, it is there to stay, sowing the seeds of hope.
