答案
The Importance of Forgetting We are often complaining about our poor memory; in other words, we always fail to remember something. However, sometimes, forgetting can be as important as, even more important than remembering. Provided that you offended your friend when playing a joke on him, forgetting will be more important than remembering. Supposing you offended your friend by playing a joke on him. You have seen your mistake and asked his pardon sincerely. But from that time on, you find that he is no longer the same friend, at least not so good as before. You think time and again, and then get a conclusion that there is no other reason than the fact you have offended him once. And he remembers it all the time, though apparently he forgave you. What will be your feelings? From the above example, it will be easy to get the conclusion that forgetting is necessary as well. We all should try our best to forget others’ mistakes or offences, and remember their good and merits. Then our life will be more harmonious and beautiful.
