    Environmental problems are too big for individual countries and individual people to address. We have reached the stage where the only way to protect the environment is at an international level. To what extent do you agree or disagree this statement?

答案 Environmental Protection Public has been debating over whether environmental problems should be solved by individual or international efforts. In my opinion, the environment crisis is a global issue, and it should be dealt only by international cooperation. There are three main reasons to support this point of view. First, technology is advancing at an amazing speed in modern society. Countries should cooperate with others in the effort of increasing efficiency and avoiding unnecessary waste of resources. It is self-evident that the international effort would increase the efficiency of environment preservation. Secondly, the intercultural dialogue accompanying the international cooperation will promote cultural exchange that benefits all the participants. As Ronald Reagan remarked, " Globalization is not something that we can hold off or turn off. It is the economic equivalent of a force of nature-like wind or water. " Most importantly, international cooperation in environmental preservation will ensure the safety and stability of the society and create more employment position. According to above reasons, I think international effort is prior to environment preservation. I am convinced the environmental problems should be solved by international efforts.
