What are they talking about?

M: I’m thinking of enrolling in beginner Chinese, but first I’d like to know what sorts of things will be taught.
W: It’ s an introductory course, so the focus is on basic grammar and some simple phrases. That class is already half full, so you should sign up soon.
M: I’ II do that now.  My company has put me in charge of sales to our clients in China, so I’d like to be able to talk with them in their language.
