The underground is a common vehicle type in my city that I often use. It’s developed so rapidly that nowadays it can be seen in any parts of the city. Though buses are still the most common type of transport, lots of people these days choose the underground to get around the city. I take the underground to my office 5 to 8 times a week, mainly in the morning. And when I return home from work, I normally call a taxi because the underground schedule in the evening conflicts with mine. Since I don’t have a car, I have to rely on the public transport and I found out that the one-way ticket for the underground is much cheaper than that of a public bus or a taxi in my city. It only costs me 40-50 cents per trip and 2-4 dollars per week. Also you can have a train pass for the whole month for only 25 dollars and this would allow you to travel to any place within the city as many times as you want. The underground station is within walking distance from my place and that’s the primary reason why I prefer this means of transport. Another important reason is that I don’t have to wait for long and usually I can find a seat. There’s no traffic jam on the road as well. Finally, I can save a large sum of money and help protect the environment at the same time since the underground is eco-friendly. So I really like this mode of transport and I think the government should really encourage people to use it more often.
