Another is that it contains a game which ranks the users’ score among their friends and that adds spice to the users’ life. Secondly, WeChat pays more attention to privacy than other communication tools. For example, if someone leaves a message about your photo, nobody but your mutual friends can see the message. However, with other tools, everyone—as long as they are listed as your friends—can see all the messages your friends have left. All in all, while embracing the convenience of WeChat, we have to take measures to guard against its potential risks. As long as we are aware of the risks which are inherent in the software, we can safely enjoy the surprise brought by recent technological advancements.
