答案 Since China became a member of WTO, most of us have achieved a clearer understanding towards globalization. The most instant and obvious reflection is the job market, which is no longer dominated by the Chinese. We can constantly see foreigners seeking employment in China. In this sense, today’s college graduates are confronted with even more fierce competition than ever. I will argue that the college students should prepare themselves for the competition from two aspects. On the one hand, college students should equip themselves with the most advanced knowledge. This does not follow that knowledge means everything, but it is essential for them to be qualified for their target positions. If someone fails to grasp the latest technology, they will inevitably be put into an inferior position. Therefore, the updated knowledge enables a student to possess an equal starting point to others. On the other hand, competent communication skills play an important roll in job hunting as well as in the future work. The fast development of science and technology makes it impossible for one person to know every special field that is necessary to accomplish a task. Therefore, cooperation and teamwork are the preconditions for any achievement. Those who know how to communicate with others to get the best cooperation are the probable persons that can achieve the best fruits. These two aspects are, of course, not all for a student to get upper wind in the competition against the background of globalization.
