" What this picture tries to convey is the importance of persistence. Persistence is the continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. It is the key to success for the following two reasons. For one thing, being persistent will motivate people to try harder. With every attempt, they will inch closer to success. It will motivate them to put more effort to get closer to their goals when seeing the actual difference they have made with the spirit of persistence. For another, to be successful, people need to be aware of their weaknesses and their faults. Weaknesses will only be exposed when people analyze their failures. This is only possible if they are mentally prepared to accept failure, and keep trying until they iron out all their weaknesses to finally succeed. Compared to talent, persistence is a modest virtue. And it’s an essential one. Without it, your gifts and talents will never see the light of day.
