That’s not to【C3】______that chronic stress has no effect on a person’s lifespan, but【C4】______does high social standing. The findings【C5】______a body of research linking high status to better health:【C6】______, Oscar winners live longer than those who were only【C7】______; and the long life effect is also seen in Nobel Prize winners.

选项
A、tell
B、say
C、utter
D、exclaim
答案
B
解析
固定搭配题。此处填入动词,与空格前的That is not to连用,后接that引导的宾语从句。that is(not) to say为习惯用语,意为“这是(并不是)说……”,通常用于承接上文内容继续加以阐述,此处that指代上一段末句的“大多数美国总统要比同时代的一般人活得更长”,故答案为B项。
