(1)Multi-tasking is doing two or more things at the same time. Computers are good at multi-tasking. It’s one of the things they’re supposed to do. A lot of people think they are good at multi-tasking. But the sad truth is they are probably not. Our brains on multi-tasking aren’t nearly as good as we think they are. What happens is let’s say you’re working on an activity over here and suddenly now you’re trying to multi-task in another activity.(2)You’re not actually doing both activities at the same time, but, in fact, you’re now diverting your attention from one part of your brain to another part of your brain. That takes tune. That takes resources. That takes brain cells. And what happens over here now is that you’re starting a brand new activitv. So, in fact, you’re probably slower and not nearly as good at doing both activities at the same time.
1. What do we know about multi-tasking from the news?
2. What really happens when a man is doing multitasking?
选项
A、He is actually doing both activities at the same time.
B、He just transfers attention from one task to another.
C、He actually completes the tasks one by one.
D、He needs to activates both halves of his brain.
答案
