答案
Reduce Waste on Campus Now people in significant numbers are coming to realize that the phenomenon of waste is becoming more and more serious on campus. We can easily see electric appliances are not turned off when there are no people in the dormitories; a lot of food is left after each meal; brand-new clothes are thrown away. All these are a typical waste on campus. The negative effects of waste can be shown in the following aspects. In the first place, students who get used to wasting don’t know how to respect other people and their work and become arrogant gradually in every aspect of their daily lives on campus. If the case is to be so, it is a failure of modern education. In the second place, China has such a large population to support with such limited natural resources, and there is no denying the fact that our country is still poor. Waste may cause a disaster for the whole country. In my opinion, we should do something to put an end to this behavior. We should refrain from wasting anything, from food to stationery. Consume when it is necessary, turn off the electric lights whenever we leave the dormitory, and don’t throw our clothes away when they are brand-new. Only through these measures can we manage to reduce waste on campus.
