Intima Restaurant, Al Dente Magazine’s Choice Restaurant of the Year, is constantly looking for hardworking individuals to join its elite team of food service professionals. Intima recognizes that people are its most valuable asset, and this summer, it is seeking qualified individuals to fill the following positions:
Line Cook - The ideal candidate should have a basic knowledge of food preparation. The hired applicant will not only prepare food items as directed by the executive chef, but also follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the restaurant. This position requires 20 hours per week, Mondays through Thursdays.
Food Server - The successful applicant will take and serve the guests’s orders, make sure that the are satisfied with their food, and efficiently handle any of their requests and concerns. There are shifts available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Host - This is the ideal position for someone with excellent communication skills and a courteous and outgoing personality. The successful candidate will manage all restaurant bookings, meet, greet, and seat guests, and ensure that the front desk areas is clean and presentable at times. This is an evening shift position on Fridays and Saturdays.
Cashier - This selected applicant will handle payment transactions, issue receipts, verify the accuracy of a items on guest checks, and be responsible for calculating the business’s revenue at the end of each night. This position is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Intima offers competitive hourly rates. Overtime pay of 20 percent per hour is given to staff members who work longer than their actual shift times. Staff members also receive a 50 percent discount on all menu items. Only full-time workers are eligible for the company’s medical pain. Training will be given to new employees if necessary.
