In Britain, the percentage of pupils in private schools is 7% while in the US it is 15%. Thus, state schools are more popular in Britain. When the pupils turn to be 16 years old, 74% of those in Britain choose to leave school and only 9% go on the full-time higher education while the others will finish their education around 17 or 18.
