答案 This is a very attention-grabbing cartoon. In the picture, a chess player is asking his opponent whether he could retract his false move. What the picture conveys here is that life is like a chess game: one false move or one wrong decision in life might lead to a failure in the future. What’s worse, one could not relive his life as he could replay his chess game. Therefore, each and every one of us should make proper use of his strength and do his utmost in order not to regret his limited ability. Meanwhile, if we spend our time with regrets over yesterday , we will have no today to live in. We must never regret what might have been. The past that did not happen is as hidden from us as the future we cannot see. So the better policy is to look ahead, prepare and prevent than to look back and regret. On the other hand, when one door of life closes, another door of life will surely open; if we often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door, we do not see the one which opens for us. Make each day useful and cheerful and prove that you know the worth of time by employing it well. Then youth will be happy , old age without regret and life a beautiful success.
