答案
The government must make some decisions about how best to spend the funds available. Some people think that it should be spent on computer technology, whereas others would like to see it go toward more basic needs. I agree with the first group for the following, reasons. The most important reason is that we now live in a very competitive world which depends on technology to produce goods efficiently. In order to keep up with others, our country must be able to keep pace technologically. If we do not, we will soon fall behind, and then the economy will suffer and so will society as a whole. Another reason is that communication and trade are conducted on a global scale now, and this also requires up-to-date computer technology. Last but not least, investing in computer technology will allow our country to provide students with a better education and workers with more employment. In short, the benefits of investing in computer technology are well worth the cost involved. With up-to-date technology, our country can better educate its students, produce goods more efficiently, and compete more effectively with other countries. In this way, we will be able to provide a better life for everyone.
