答案Dear Jane, Thank you for your letter and your trust in me. You must be anxious to hear from me about the application for our university--I hope I didn’t let you wait too long. After consulting many friends and teachers, I suggest that you apply for a M. A program of theoretical mathematics in the college of Mathematics. A professor specialized on that fields told me that our university ranked the first in China, and enjoys quite a lot of international reputation. Besides, you are always interested in this field and have read a lot on the subjects related. There are several requirements for admission: first, the candidate must be able to raise theoretical questions out of common problems; second, he must have good English so as to be well informed about international researches. You can focus your preparation on the two requirements; besides ,reading some books written by some professors in this field must be helpful too.
