Employer: Well, what kind of experience have you got for the job?
Job seeker: I’ve been a computer programmer for more than two years.
Employer: Where was your last job then?
Job seeker: I worked for HP.
Employer: That’s quite a reputable company. Why did you leave your job there?
Job seeker: Well, I enjoy working in different places and meeting new people. That will widen my experience in the field of computer technology.
Employer: Good. What kind of education did you have?
Job seeker: I studied computer science in Tsinghua University, and got a Master’s degree.
Employer: Um, and one more thing, can you work overtime?
Job seeker: Yes, I can.
Employer: Fine. We have a vacancy in the software development section, but it’s quite tough, they often work overtime.
Job seeker: That’s OK, I don’t mind working overtime at all, as you know, I’m still single.
Employer: Good. Do you have any questions?
Job seeker: Yes, what’s the salary, if I may ask?
Employer: The salary will be 25 000 dollars a year, to start with.
Job seeker: Fine. Is there any prospect of a raise?
Employer: Yes, there is good prospect for promotion.
Job seeker: Good, this job should suit me well.
Employer: Can you start working next Monday?
Job seeker: Sure.
