    As a result, the excited teacher worked much harder with this class than other teachers in the grade. She spent a lot of time and tried many new teaching ways that she thought would be helpful for the students and hold their interest.
    She was successful and it worked! The class did much better than any other classes which were taught by other teachers in the usual way in this school. The school praised(表扬) this class and this new teacher greatly for their success. Only later did she find out that the numbers after each student’s name were just their locker(存物柜) numbers.
The school wanted to make the teacher think she had the best class.
