Now we are going to talk something about the social cooperation of animals. Cooperation refers to the process of working or acting together. Meanwhile, it indicates that things are done in harmony, side by side. That is to say, cooperation can make power. There are many animals all over the world living together with others of the same kind to survive. In today’s lecture, I am going to talk about two groups of animals, the deer and the honey bees. They cooperate within each of their groups to efficiently feed themselves.
Firstly, animals live together usually to prevent themselves from the attacks of the predators. Through this, they can feed more efficiently and effectively. For example, deer take turns to watch out for predators while others can eat safely. And if one deer is with himself only, he has to watch out for the predator while he is eating.
In addition, social cooperation of animals can allow them to find food more easily. The honey bee is a flying social insect. They live in groups and feed themselves with honey. They have a small body and always find food together. When they find the source of food, they will dance to show the others where the source is. In this way, they can find out food sources and spread out the information to others more efficiently. If a bee does everything by itself, it may die long before it eats something.
