答案
Children’s Weight Problem in US This graph shows the overweight problem of children in US. As we can see from the graph, the percentages of overweight children aged from 6 to 11 increased sharply in the last three decades. In early 1970s, only 4% children had weight problem, but the number nearly doubled in the late 1970s. And by the end of 2002, the percentage reached 16%, 4 times of that in 1974. We can also find that the increasing trend is keeping going. The cause of weight problem is clear-cut. One is that children eat too much junk food, like MacDonald’s and KFC. Children love junk food but this kind of food contains too much heat. The other is that they do too little exercise. There are too many couch potatoes in the US. They just sit in front of TV all day along and eat non-stop. To solve weight problem, parents should ask their children to eat less high-calory food and do more exercise, or the problem will become even more severe.
