答案
Should More Tourists Be Attracted to Wilderness Areas? Wilderness area is mysterious to our curious mind. We want to understand the wild life and know about the nature by visiting different kinds of wilderness areas. However, I do not think more tourists should be attracted to these areas. First of all, tourism will bring unwanted attention to the wilderness area. When they are left alone, wilderness areas stand a chance of natural survival. If tourists come and visit them, investors may carry out some investment projects to maximize the tourism benefits. When development projects are involved, it is hard to preserve the wholeness of the wild lands, since construction of new sites means destruction of the old lands. Second, some wild life is very sensitive to the environment they live. If tourists from a foreign land bring some germs or species to the wild land, they may upset the natural balance and endanger some of the wild species. For instance, the Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project finds out that "Humans, as park workers and eco-tourists, have and continue to bring foreign germs into the parks that threaten the gorillas". That is why we should be very cautious to allow tourists to venture into wild lands. In conclusion, if we want wilderness areas to remain intact, the best way is to keep them from human attention. Let nature run its course.
