This saying is also true in many other aspects. Learning swimming is a case in point. What we see, hear, smell, taste and touch are so complete and real that no indirect experience can be comparable. In order to get more direct experience, we’d better jump out of the comfort zone and personally practice as much as possible, instead of learning only from books or media.
