答案
With the development of globalization, we are exposed to different cultures. And cross-communication has become an irresistible trend. Under this context, I think colleges should offer more courses on contemporary culture. First of all, more courses on contemporary culture will help students develop a discerning taste. Faced with different sources of information, students are usually confused about what to choose. This would not be the case, if students take the course of contemporary culture and undertake an in-depth analysis about the nature of contemporary culture. Secondly, more courses on contemporary culture could get students to get more motivated in the study. As some of the students complained, classics courses are usually delivered in a boring manner, which discourage students from getting involved. On the contrary, students will feel much driven when they are required to do a case analysis of the recent blockbuster or a survey assignment about a controversial social phenomenon. In conclusion, more courses on contemporary culture should be offered to students. In this way, students will be rewarded with a better sense of judgment and a strong motivation to learn.
