John Lennon, one of the Beatles, was murdered just before 11 p.m. on the 8th December 1980 outside his home (26)in the Dakota Apartment Building in New York City. He had just got out of a car, and was walking to the entrance when a voice called " Mr. Lennon". Lennon turned, and was shot five times. The killer threw his gun down, and stood there smiling. " Do you know what you just did?" Shouted the doorman. " (28) I lust shot John Lennon, " the killer replied. Lennon was rushed 1o hospital in a police patrol car, but it was too late. The killer was 25-year-old Mark Chapman from Hawaii. Earlier the same evening he had asked Lennon for his autograph. In fact, he had been hanging around outside the apartment building for several days. (27) Chapman was a fan of the Beatles and Lennon, and had tried to imitate him in ninny ways. It is said that he even believed that he was John Lennon.
选项
A、The door man.
B、One of the Beatles.
C、A 20-year-old young man.
D、A fan of the Beatles and John Lennon.
答案
D
解析
此题从选项中可推断问题可能与人的身份有关。首先可排除C,因为听到的内容是"25-year-old"。此题问题是"Who was the killer?"。根据所听到的"The killer was 25-year-old Mark Chapman …"以及"Chapman was a fan of the Beatles and Lennon"。可推断出D为正确选项。
