答案 The picture above is a perfect illustration of one serious social problem our nation is faced with today: food security. The big-boned and strong man in the picture may be interpreted as the fast-growing and increasingly-rich food industry and people working in it, while the blood which reads morality and ethics is something that is missing from the strong body. When our nation saw great speed in the past decades of development, food industry included, we are neglecting something that is more profound and lasting. Morality and ethics provide us with guidelines, supervisions, and more importantly, bottom lines. When legislative power and inspection parties are already fulfilling their duties and the problems remain, we should understand the erosion of moral standard as the root cause and reconstruct morality as our way out. Compared with legal system when punishment will be posed when wrongdoings already occur, ethics provide prevention for such behaviors. And morality also makes sure that the insiders of food industry will honor a high standard even when they are not under inspection, whose power surly is limited. To uphold a high level of moral standard, we cannot focus on food industry only. Instead, a systematic promotion is needed. And this is also going to be a long process, which requires the efforts from schools, families and all walks of life.
