答案
Innovation Distinguishes between a Leader and a Follower The co-founder of Apple Inc Steve Jobs remarked, "Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower." Such a remark makes a lot of sense to me. Innovation can give companies a competitive advantage, which is likely to make them a leader in the market. However, innovation can easily lead to imitation. Some companies just follow in another company’s footsteps, so they can’t make any noticeable impact. There is a typical example listed as follow. Apple Inc is one of the most successful companies in the world, whose products gain a great deal of popularity. When it comes to the reason why it’s so influential, Jobs’s remark may answer the question. Apple Inc attaches great importance to innovation, which can be seen from its new version of high-tech electronic products every year. On the contrary, many companies pay little attention to innovation and try every means to imitate Apple’s products, especially iPhone. Although they are really good at imitation, they seriously lack innovation or uniqueness, which makes them end up unknown or notorious. From what has been discussed above, we can come to a conclusion that innovation is the touchstone, which distinguishes a leader from a follower. Therefore, it’s vital for us to cultivate innovative abilities.
