With sad feelings, I think, we should take the following lessens from the battle. All leaders and medical workers should treat epidemic incidence in a down-to-earth way. Once discovered, inform the departments concerned of the situation so as to take timely measures and organize a united campaign against it. Measures, both political and medical, should be taken in a concerted way. Otherwise, as we remember, fruitless efforts and even sacrifices would have to be made in front of the wide-spread epidemic. Continuous education has to be done to strengthen public health and get rid of bad habits, such as mindless spitting and littering.
