I am Zhang Jian-hua, a 19-year-old sophomore in the Foreign Languages Department, the Shijiazhuang Tiedao University. Coming from the countryside of Huai’an County, Jiangsu Province, I am keenly aware of the poor education there and how desperately children in remote areas need our help. During my vacations, I have worked to help teaching in my hometown, and now I wish I can help more children by teaching in the western part of China. I am good at English, Chinese, mathematics, as well as drawing. If possible, I hope I can stay there for two years before I come back and finish my university studies.
