But, since 2003, more than 70 universities on the Chinese mainland had lifted the marriage ban to give the green light to student couples who want to marry. This poses a great threat to them and some couples are forced to leave each other because they can’t find suitable jobs in the same city. Thirdly, although ’universities have canceled the ban on students’ marriage, they don’t encourage students to tie the knot. Colleges will never offer apartments to student couples, And it is inconvenient and unsafe to rent apartments outside the campus.In addition, college students aren’t independent financially, yet a lot of money is needed in family life. The financial burden may result in the break-up of the marriage.Therefore, without emotional and financial maturity, the chances of a successful marriage remain pretty slim. To sum up, college students are granted the right to get married, but we must handle the right with great care.The proverb "more haste, less speed" is also true of marriage.Only when we are mature, having the abilities to support a family, can we reap the sweet fruit of successful marriage.
