答案 A Survey on Reading This is a table, which reported the results of a survey on reading. The survey was conducted in July 2000, in a certain college. There are 100 students, which make up 40% of the total students surveyed, whose total amount of reading in a term comes to 35,000 words, but there are still 6% of the students, who read little, and the amount of their reading is less than 100,000 words in a term. It is also shown in the table that the reading speed of the students whose total reading in a term is more than 300,000 may reach a speed of 2,500--3,000 words per hour, while the students who read little only have the speed of 15,000 words per hour. The figures in the table, however, show clearly that the more you read, the faster your reading speed will be, and the better your performance, and vice versa. Therefore, according to the results of the survey it can be concluded that it is important to read as much as possible.
