答案
First-class Universities and First-class Students Some people take it for granted that only the prestigious universities are able to develop students into talented people. In their opinion, a famous university usually possesses knowledgeable professors, advanced teaching facilities and convivial learning atmosphere. In addition , there will be chances to participate in some interesting and prospective projects within these prestigious universities. What’s more, many prestigious universities offer their students various internships in large companies, corporations and organizations. However, others maintain that only when all the undergraduates and graduates perform well can their university has the possibility to be world-famous. There is no doubt that students’ performances contribute a lot to the development of a university. A university full of A students will definitely be well-known. As far as I’m concerned, there is no necessary link between the fame of a university and the achievements of its students. For one thing, it seems clear that prestigious universities are unable to create "good students". If they could, then their admission policy would be to select high school graduates at random. For another, to become an A student requires both the student and the university’s efforts. And undoubtedly, students’ brilliant performances will greatly improve the reputation of their universities.
文中关于一流大学和一流学生用到first-class,prestigious,famous,well—known,A students,talented等,用词丰富。
If they could, thentheir admission policy would be to select high school graduates at random.
