W: It sounds to me like you’re just putting it off.
M: I really am working on it, but I just can’t get it finished and I’ve got to study for two other tests by tomorrow afternoon! But I might be able to get it done after class...maybe...by midnight tomorrow.
W: Hmm...I didn’t specify what time the paper was due. But I’m leaving campus at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow, and they lock this building at 11:00 p.m.
